About the position

The Treasury Management Services Specialist 1 (Lockbox Operations) at Huntington Bank plays a crucial role in providing lockbox services to both commercial and consumer customers. This position is primarily focused on the collection and processing of inbound Accounts Receivable payments and deposits. The specialist will work under direct supervision and is responsible for a variety of tasks that ensure the efficient handling of customer deposits in accordance with service level agreements. The role requires a keen attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak processing periods. The specialist will operate various mail opening and sorting equipment, both manual and automated, to facilitate the processing of customer payments. Responsibilities include creating batches and deposits, performing data entry (both alpha and numeric), and operating imaging equipment. Additionally, the specialist will be involved in combining and mailing customer information, as well as sorting mail by zip+4 to ensure accurate and timely processing of deposits. This position is located onsite at 45 N. Pennsylvania Street, Indianapolis, IN, and the work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:00 am until approximately 3:30 pm, or until the work is completed. Candidates for this position should possess a high school diploma and have at least one year of customer service experience. While lockbox or check processing experience is preferred, it is not mandatory. The role requires basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. The specialist must be capable of resolving problems independently and communicating any issues regarding lockbox processing to management. Flexibility in working hours is essential, as the candidate may be required to work extended hours during peak processing times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma required
  • 1+ years customer service experience
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Resolve problems independently
  • Inform management of all issues regarding lockbox processing
  • Work with a sense of urgency while maintaining close attention to detail

  • Lockbox or check processing experience preferred
