Responsibilities

• Coordinates, monitors, and assigns staff in daily operations to ensure compliance with state regulations.
• Analyzes daily and weekly data and provides status reports of operations and maintenance for superintendent review.
• Makes purchases of supplies and equipment for the continuance of plant operations.
• Coordinates schedules to ensure staffing levels are maintained for compliance with state regulations.
• Arranges staff schedules for development in operation, mechanical, and technical areas.
• Monitors staff performance and provides coaching and feedback for improvement.
• Coordinates and leads tours for the public for educational purposes.
• Assists customers and the general public by providing information regarding the facility's operations.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Five years of experience in mechanical, maintenance, or relevant industrial work required.
• One year of experience leading, directing, coordinating, or supervising the work of others preferred.
• One year of experience in the operations and maintenance of a wastewater treatment or collection system preferred.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record required.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and work in extreme conditions.

Nice-to-haves

• Associates degree in Environmental Sciences or related field preferred.
• Class IV KDHE Wastewater Operators License preferred.
