About The Position

Requirements

• Current California State LVN license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Certification from the Wound Care Education Institute or in the process of obtaining it within 3 years.
• 6 months of recent nursing experience as an LVN or as deemed by the Director of Nursing.
• Demonstrated competent professional nursing skills including medication administration, assessments, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Apply dressings and treat wounds for residents.
• Monitor and track infections within the facility.
• Plan, implement, and evaluate the Treatment Program under supervision.
• Document treatments and changes in residents' conditions in health records.
• Develop forms and record-keeping systems for surveillance activities.
• Prepare and present monthly reports at Quality Assurance Committee Meetings.
• Participate in continuous quality improvement activities within the Nursing Department.
• Maintain confidentiality according to District policy and State and Federal regulations.
