About the position
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Tree Climber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for tree care and landscape maintenance, with experience in climbing and operating bucket trucks. This role involves working outdoors in various weather conditions while ensuring the health and safety of trees and the surrounding environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform tree removals, tree trimming and pruning to maintain the health and aesthetics of trees.
- Climb or use bucket truck safely for elevated work on trees.
- Conduct landscape maintenance tasks, including planting and caring for gardens.
- Assess tree health and growth patterns to determine necessary care actions.
- Utilize GIS technology to map and manage tree care projects effectively.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring safety standards are met.
Requirements
- Proficiency in rigging techniques for safe climbing and lowering of branches.
- Experience with bucket truck operation for high-altitude work.
- Knowledge of landscape maintenance practices, including plant care and garden design.
- Understanding of tree care principles, including species identification and growth requirements.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety practices in all operations.
- Excellent physical stamina and strength to perform demanding outdoor tasks.
