About the position

We are seeking a part-time, as-needed skilled Tree Trimmer/Climber to join our team at New Dawn Tree Experts. This role involves working at heights to perform tree trimming, care, and maintenance tasks, ensuring the health and safety of trees while enhancing the beauty of landscapes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the outdoors and a strong understanding of tree health and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Perform tree trimming and pruning to maintain healthy growth and appearance.
• Remove trees using proper industry and safety standards.
• Utilize rigging techniques to lower branches safely and efficiently.
• Conduct regular inspections of trees to assess health and identify potential hazards.
• Implement proper tree care practices.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during projects.
• Maintain equipment and tools in good working condition.
• Document work performed.

Requirements

• 3+ years of previous experience in tree trimming and removal required.
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to problem solve and meet all physical requirements of the position.
• Must pass all drug and alcohol screens, and background checks.

• A willingness to learn new skills related to tree climbing, rigging, and maintenance practices.
