About the position
The Triage I Driver Support Agent is responsible for providing assistance to drivers, external vendors, and internal team members by addressing their needs related to mechanical issues, fuel, incidents, and security briefings. This role involves processing payments for repairs and serving as the primary point of contact for drivers calling into Driver Support, ensuring their concerns are directed appropriately.
Responsibilities
- Receive and respond to calls from drivers, vendors, and team members.
- Assist with various needs including mechanical, fuel, incident, and security briefings.
- Process payments to vendors for repairs performed.
- Direct driver concerns to the appropriate channels.
- Handle high call volumes effectively.
- Input data into platforms based on call information.
- Determine when calls need to be escalated to the next level.
- Review and approve estimates within authority limits.
- Collaborate and communicate with other Triage team members.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the Driver Support Team.
Requirements
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to multitask effectively.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office programs and web-based applications preferred.
- Typing skills are required.
- Problem-solving skills are essential.
- Vehicle maintenance knowledge preferred.
- Geographical knowledge of the United States preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- 2 years of vehicle maintenance/repair experience preferred; class 8 experience is a plus.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in vehicle maintenance or repair.
- Knowledge of class 8 vehicles.
