About the position

The Triage Manager will oversee the operations and development of the Triage program within RAMS CAAP Counseling & Pre-Vocational Services. This role involves providing day-to-day supervision, administrative management, and program development for a team of mental health counselors and health workers who conduct biopsychosocial assessments for clients receiving County Adult Assistance Program (CAAP) benefits. The Triage Manager will ensure quality service delivery and collaboration with various stakeholders to meet the needs of the clients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations and development of the Triage program
  • Provide administrative and clinical supervision to Triage mental health counselors/consultants/health workers
  • Provide on-site consultation on clinical issues, quality assurance, and linkage to the County Adult Assistance Program (CAAP) staff
  • Collaborate with CAAP, SSI Case Management and Disability Evaluation Consultation Unit (DECU) in troubleshooting, planning, and implementing program and service delivery
  • Conduct Triage assessments of clients to determine their ability to perform work activities and provide consultation as needed
  • Hire and train new staff to conduct biopsychosocial/behavioral assessments with an employability focus
  • Monitor clinical and administrative client flow and assignments to clinicians
  • Plan and maintain client and staff scheduling
  • Maintain timely administrative, clinical, and related records & documentation related to client care
  • Facilitate and participate in case conferences, training workshops, staff meetings, and other staff development activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • At least a Master's degree in Psychology, Marriage & Family Therapy, Counseling, Social Work, or other related disciplines from an accredited institution
  • Two or more years of experience providing community-based behavioral health, substance use and/or healthcare related services to adults, indigent & underserved populations
  • Experience conducting clinical & functional assessments of clients with physical, behavioral health and substance use concerns
  • Experience providing administrative oversight and/or supervision/consultation to clinical staff in assessment, diagnosis, and navigating systems of care in San Francisco
  • Knowledge of various treatment modalities, assessment, short-term counseling crisis intervention, and substance recovery principles

Nice-to-haves

  • Valid California licensure with the Board of Behavioral Sciences (i.e. LMFT, LCSW, LPCC) highly preferred
  • Ability to provide clinical supervision to registered associates accruing hours for licensure highly preferred
  • Familiarity with systems of care and community resources & services in San Francisco
  • Familiarity with vocational rehabilitation models of practice and counseling strategies
