About the position

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of civil litigation cases, ensuring timely handling of all matters.
• Provide exceptional knowledge of civil procedure, rules of evidence, and trial strategy.
• Engage in jury trials and other court proceedings as necessary.
• Collaborate with support staff to ensure efficient case management.
• Participate in a hybrid work arrangement, balancing in-office and virtual work as required.

Requirements

• Juris Doctorate (J.D.) from an ABA accredited law school with excellent academic credentials.
• Active license to practice law in Michigan and good standing with the state bar.
• 3+ years of civil litigation experience, preferably in insurance defense.
• Experience handling No Fault/PIP, Bodily Injury, and Premises Liability litigation.
• Strong oral advocacy and writing skills.
• Ability to manage a time-sensitive caseload.
• Strong automation/technological skills for lawsuit handling and courtroom presentation.
• Experience working in a paperless environment.
