Responsibilities

  • Support the administrative processing needs of the Translation Research and Instruction Program (TRIP).
  • Assist in course building, scheduling, and coordinating with other departments.
  • Serve as the liaison between the TRIP director and other professional staff regarding administrative matters.
  • Manage course and independent study registration for graduate students.
  • Maintain records and gather research and statistical data as requested.
  • Assist in planning and preparing the program's budget and monitor budget activities.
  • Handle purchasing, reimbursement processing, and reconciliations for the office budget.
  • Support event planning and website management for the program.
  • Schedule and track graduate student examinations in DegreeWorks.
  • Manage files, including theses, dissertations, and graduate school paperwork.
  • Oversee space management of the TA office and process HR paperwork.
  • Monitor appointments for faculty, visiting scholars, and graduate students.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 2 years of administrative experience.
  • Effective interpersonal and organizational skills.
  • Excellent computer skills and willingness to learn new software.
  • Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Proficient with Google Office Suite.
  • Expertise in using spreadsheets and databases.
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise sound judgment, discretion, and confidentiality.
