About the position

The Trivia & Games Event Host role at CourseHorse involves leading engaging virtual and in-person team-building events, primarily in the Chicago metro area. The position is designed for dynamic individuals who can create memorable experiences through various games and activities, ensuring that each event runs smoothly and is enjoyable for all participants.

Responsibilities

• Host virtual and in-person events, including trivia, escape rooms, Lego challenges, and more!
• Create an interactive, high-energy atmosphere for all participants.
• Prepare event materials and ensure a smooth setup for each experience.
• Work closely with our planning team to customize events for each client.
• Keep events on schedule and ensure everything goes off without a hitch.
• Provide post-event feedback to help us continually improve.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in entertainment, comedy, improv, acting, or performance.
• Exceptional public speaking and communication skills.
• Confidence leading groups of all sizes, virtually and in-person.
• Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.
• Experience using web conferencing tools like Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Google Meet.
• The ability to think on your feet and adapt as needed.
• A genuine passion for creating fun, memorable experiences!
• Located in the Chicago area or willing to travel for in-person events.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience hosting live or virtual events.
• Familiarity with basic audio-visual setup.
• Experience in fine arts or cooking is a plus.
