About the position
The Truck Assembly Technician role involves assembling service truck bodies, performing minor wiring, and using various hand and power tools. The position is focused on ensuring quality assembly and installation of truck components, with a strong emphasis on attention to detail and safety.
Responsibilities
- Assemble service truck bodies
- Drill holes, wire lights, and other components
- Perform minor wiring to tail lights
- Use hand tools and power tools
- Install wooden floors onto truck bodies
- Inspect and prepare floor surfaces for installation
- Sand and scrape imperfections
- Measure floor size and estimate covering materials
- Drill holes to fasten wood to the frame
- Assist with the installation of truck bodies or platforms
Requirements
- Mechanic experience
- Hand tool experience
- Welding experience (a plus but not required)
