About The Position

The Truck Dispatcher at Riceland Foods is responsible for coordinating the logistics of load pickups and ensuring efficient communication between loaders and drivers. This role involves managing appointments, entering orders into the computer system, and maintaining accurate shipping documentation. The dispatcher plays a crucial role in the supply chain, ensuring that finished goods are transported accurately and efficiently.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-3 years of related experience or similar background.
• Ability to read shipping orders and print legibly.
• Good keyboarding skills.
• Polite telephone skills.
• Ability to perform more than one task at a time.
• Professional interaction with the public.

Responsibilities

• Make appointments for load pickups.
• Enter orders into the computer system after loading.
• Print applicable paperwork for shipments.
• Coordinate with loaders on scheduling and loading.
• Check accuracy of item type, quantity, and quality of all finished goods and supplies against shipping or receiving documents.
• Load, unload, store, inventory, and transport finished goods and supplies associated with packing and shipping.
