About the position

The Truck Driver CDL B Residential position at Republic Services involves safely operating a collection truck to provide waste removal services for customers. The role emphasizes adherence to safety standards, compliance with regulations, and maintaining vehicle readiness. The driver is expected to interact courteously with customers and ensure timely service delivery while performing inspections and completing necessary reports.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete pre- and post-operation inspection of the vehicle in accordance with Company policy.
• Safely operate the heavy truck along the designated route and to the disposal site.
• Operate manual and/or automatic controls to lift and load refuse and dispose of collected material.
• Interact courteously with customers, dispatchers, and others to ensure timely service.
• Identify and tag unsatisfactory waste containers as per departmental procedures.
• Monitor waste for evidence of unacceptable waste.
• Clean areas around accidental waste spills, adhering to safety standards.
• Continuously monitor the vehicle's condition to ensure operational readiness.
• Complete required route/productivity sheets, VCRs, and other reports.
• Maintain adherence to required productivity standards for timely customer service.
• Follow all required safety policies and procedures.
• Actively participate in the Company's ReSOP program.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Class B or higher Commercial Driver's license with air brakes endorsement.
