About the position
System Transport is seeking experienced CDL-A flatbed truck drivers for over-the-road (OTR) routes. The role involves transporting various goods such as glass, steel, aluminum, and machinery across the western region of America. Drivers can expect competitive pay and excellent benefits, with a focus on safety and support throughout their driving experience.
Responsibilities
- Transport goods and materials using a flatbed truck on OTR routes.
- Ensure safe and timely delivery of cargo to various locations.
- Maintain a clean driving record and adhere to all traffic laws and regulations.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle.
- Assist in loading and unloading cargo as necessary, including tarping loads.
Requirements
- Must have a valid Class A CDL.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- A safe driving record is required.
- No more than 6 jobs in the last 3 years.
- 4+ months of driving experience required.
- Background check and clean drug test required.
- Physically able to lift a 90-pound tarp onto a 5-foot high platform twice.
Nice-to-haves
- 1 year of truck driving experience preferred but not necessary.
