About the position
The Truck Driver position at Chobani involves safely operating a commercial vehicle within a 300-mile radius from the central New York location, primarily delivering finished goods to customer warehouses and picking up raw materials. The role requires compliance with safety regulations, continuous training, and excellent customer service. This position operates on a C Shift schedule from 6:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with every other weekend required.
Responsibilities
- Safely drive a commercial vehicle within a 300-mile radius.
- Deliver finished goods to customer warehouses and pick up raw materials.
- Deliver liquid whey to farms and digesters, operating various types of pumps at local farms.
- Perform yard jockey duties as needed.
- Fill out bill of laden and any other required paperwork.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Follow Chobani safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Requirements
- CDL Class A license with tank endorsement.
- 1+ years of tractor-trailer driving experience, including experience with tanker trucks (or 5+ years CDL Class A driving experience without tanker truck experience).
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
- Detect and eliminate or minimize safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records and logs.
- Assist in loading/unloading freight as required.
