About the position

Penske Logistics is seeking dedicated warehouse associates for sanitation roles, focusing on maintaining cleanliness and safety within the warehouse environment. This full-time position requires consistent attendance and adherence to a set schedule, with responsibilities including cleaning, waste management, and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Proficient in mopping, sweeping, scrubbing, and vacuuming surfaces.
• Empties trash bins and cleans trash area daily; operates trash compactor when applicable.
• Pulls pallets and cleans/scrubs product bays on a rotating basis.
• Cleans up any spills or breakages to the inventoried product; recoups damages and determines if resalable or must be disposed of per food safety standards and requirements.
• Cleans other areas of the warehouse and offices, including break rooms, restrooms, and offices.
• Completes daily sanitation logs.
• Utilizes chemicals, detergents, and cleaning equipment.
• Operates scrubber and pallet jacks if required to perform duties.
• Identifies and addresses cleanliness and sanitation issues.
• Complies with all safety requirements.
• Escalates issues timely and directly to supervisor.
• Electronically scans products using a warehouse management system.
• Completes other projects and tasks as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements

• No prior experience required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions required.
• Ability to work independently, customer service, dealing with others, multi-tasking skills, organizational skills, flexible, excellent with numbers and time management skills required.
• Regular, predictable, full attendance is an essential function of the job.
• Willingness to work the required schedule, work at the specific location required, complete Penske employment application, submit to a background investigation and drug screening required.
• This position is designated as safety sensitive by the company.
