About the position
As a Truck Driver at XPO, you will be responsible for safely operating a tractor-trailer combination, including doubles and triples, while providing excellent service to customers. This position requires a commitment to safety and efficiency, as you will be expected to load and unload freight, ensuring that all cargo is handled properly and securely. You will also be tasked with generating sales leads through your interactions with customers, contributing to the overall success of the business. The role demands flexibility, as you will be required to work a schedule that can extend up to 12-14 hours a day, including day, night, and weekend shifts. This is a Motor Carrier Act Exempt position, which means you will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your skills and experience can shine. In addition to the operational responsibilities, you will need to maintain a safe driving record and adhere to all DOT regulations. This includes passing a DOT drug test and holding a valid DOT Medical Certification Card. You will also be expected to lift objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights, frequently up to 50 lbs. and occasionally greater than 75 lbs. The job requires physical stamina, as you will be sitting for extended periods, climbing in and out of the tractor cab/trailer, and walking or standing on various surfaces, which may be uneven or slippery. You will operate a tractor-trailer combination for up to 11 consecutive hours in all types of weather, safely transporting both hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate a tractor-trailer combination, including doubles and triples.

Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid Class A commercial driver's license.
- Safe driving record and history.
- Currently possess or be willing to obtain hazardous materials, tank vehicle and doubles/triples endorsements within 90 days of employment.
- Pass a DOT drug test and have no prior positive tests or refusals in the last 3 years.
- Hold a valid DOT Medical Certification Card or pass a company-paid DOT physical.
- Available to work a flexible schedule that's up to 12-14 hours a day, including day, night and weekend shifts.
