About the position

As a Diesel Technician/Mechanic III at Penske, you will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance and minor repairs on a diverse fleet of vehicles. This entry-level position is ideal for individuals looking to start their career in vehicle repair or those with some experience seeking a new opportunity. You will work in a dynamic environment, ensuring vehicles are safe and reliable while receiving hands-on training from experienced professionals.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance and minor repairs on vehicles.
• Ensure vehicles are maintained and safe for customers.
• Utilize Penske's tools and technologies for repairs and diagnostics.
• Conduct basic vehicle diagnostics and repairs, including electrical and cooling system maintenance.
• Partner with management to learn new skills through training and coaching.
• Complete assigned projects and tasks from supervisors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; vocational or technical certification in vehicle repair preferred.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and 1-2 years of automotive or diesel repair experience preferred.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Ability to solve problems and use tools effectively.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and outdoors.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Compliance with DOT, OSHA, and Penske safety policies.
