About the position

The Truck Driver/Operator position at Kinder Morgan involves transporting scrap materials from the Port to designated Scrap Lines and Bays. The role requires operating heavy trucks, ensuring accurate weight measurements, and maintaining safety and operational standards while working in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Haul scrap from Port to Scrap Lines for off-loading to Scrap Piles.
• Haul scrap from Scrap Lines for off-loading to Scrap Bays.
• Inspect assigned truck for damage or problems at the beginning of the shift.
• Measure to get a tare weight at the beginning of the shift.
• Drive 60-ton trucks from the Port to Scrap Lines.
• Accurately record weight from payload meter for scrap hauled to lines.
• Drive trucks over scales and record accurate load weights for scrap hauled to the Scrap Line.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year of experience required.
• GED or equivalent education required.
• Ability to frequently lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must meet and maintain certification for use of respiratory protective equipment as required by OSHA 1910.134.
