About the position

As a driver at Walmart, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate records related to load paperwork, electronic logs, and forms required by various transportation authorities. This includes the hours of service log and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Your primary duty will be to operate a tractor/trailer safely, adhering to all safety requirements, and conducting thorough inspections of the mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment of the tractor/trailer unit before, during, and after trips. You will also be tasked with planning routes based on local and state traffic laws, as well as local restrictions, and following these routes using maps and atlases. Requirements

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Experience in operating tractor/trailer units safely and efficiently.
  • Knowledge of local and state traffic laws and regulations.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and logs as required by the Department of Transportation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with electronic logging devices (ELDs).
  • Familiarity with route planning and navigation tools.
  • Previous experience in a similar driving role.
