The Truck Driver - Yard Jockey position at Chobani involves safely operating a commercial vehicle within a 300-mile radius from New Berlin, NY, primarily delivering finished goods and picking up raw materials. Responsibilities
- Safely drive a commercial vehicle and comply with safety regulations.
- Deliver finished goods to customer warehouses and pick up raw materials from various locations.
- Deliver liquid whey to farms and digesters, operating various types of pumps to fill tanks without overflow or spillage.
- Occasionally perform yard jockey duties.
- Fill out bill of laden and other required paperwork.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Follow Chobani safety procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices.
Requirements
- CDL Class A license with tank endorsement.
- 1+ years of tractor-trailer driving experience, including experience with tanker trucks, or 5+ years of CDL Class A driving experience without tanker truck experience.
- Ensure compliance with applicable federal and/or state laws, regulations, and agency rules.
- Detect and minimize safety hazards.
- Maintain accurate records and logs.
- Assist in loading/unloading freight as required.
