About The Position

The Truck Driver at WinCo Foods is responsible for safely and efficiently transporting products to and from stores and backhaul locations while adhering to all company policies and federal regulations. This role emphasizes customer service, teamwork, and compliance with safety standards, contributing to a positive work environment and community impact.

Requirements

• Experience with a variety of equipment in various weather conditions, preferred.
• Demonstrating working knowledge of FMCSR, DOT regulations, and other local, state, or federal requirements governing motor vehicle operations.
• Ability to follow direction, rules, and policy as provided by management.
• Demonstrating initiative and self-direction, ability to work independently and/or in a team environment.

Nice To Haves

• One (1) or more years over-the-road driving experience with 80,000 lbs. or more GVWR tractor/trailers.
• Double, triples endorsements and experience.
• Knowledge of the retail grocery industry and corresponding products.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly and engaging customer service to internal and external customers by telephone, email, and in person.
• Follow designated routes assigned by the dispatch department for scheduled deliveries and backhauls.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the tractor and trailer in accordance with FMCSR and company standards.
• Ensure loads are secure and travel ready, including verification of freight and trailer number.
• Maintain driver's daily log and transportation records accurately and in a timely manner.
• Drop and Hook trailers at delivery locations, and/or unload and stage pallets of product into appropriate locations of the store.
• Load store product returns and other miscellaneous items to be delivered to other stores or returned to the Distribution Center.
• Ensure that all safety procedures and policies are followed; comply with OSHA standards.
• Maintain a clean, neat and orderly work area.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
