About the position

The Truck Tire Assembly Setup Tech position at Continental involves setting up and adjusting truck tire assembly equipment to ensure quality and production specifications. The role requires a combination of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain equipment efficiency while adhering to safety and legal requirements.

Responsibilities

• Set-up and adjust all Truck Tire Assembly Building equipment to specification for quality and production.
• Utilize electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic knowledge to set-up, detect, adjust and correct truck tire building equipment.
• Supervise and audit the building of first truck tires after set-up changes or adjustments to ensure compliance with specifications.
• Troubleshoot and make adjustments to machines as necessary.
• Monitor assigned machines to maintain productive efficiency and reduce downtime.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and other technicians regarding malfunctions or breakdowns.
• Perform work as directed by supervisors related to machine efficiency and high-quality production.
• Conduct routine scheduled MTC checks and corrections.
• Maintain accurate daily records on each machine regarding breakdowns, changes, adjustments, and other pertinent information.
• Ensure all ESH procedures, policies, and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED and 1 year of Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years of mechanical experience.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous manufacturing experience or an Associates Degree.
