About the position

The Trucking Fleet Supervisor is responsible for leading a team of truck drivers at The Boring Company, ensuring efficient transportation support for production operations. This role involves managing daily operations, compliance with regulations, and maintaining fleet records, all while fostering a culture of safety and performance excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead team of Boring Company truck drivers.
  • Assign tasks and set performance metrics to ensure constant transportation support to production operations.
  • Independently manage shift troubleshooting and operations with minimal supervision.
  • Hire, onboard, and train truck drivers, ensuring compliance with all local, state, and federal requirements.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records for fleet registration and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the onboarding process for new equipment, including inspection and registration.
  • Define and ensure completion of a preventive maintenance program for all assigned trucks.
  • Organize and maintain inventory of all assigned trucks, equipment, and parts required for preventive maintenance.

Requirements

  • 5 - 7 years of experience with internal fleet/driver management.
  • Possess a current Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • Strong organizational and task-switching skills.
  • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize changing tasks.
  • Proficiency in inventory management and procurement software.
