About the position

The position at TP Trucking involves supporting the maintenance shop by ensuring cleanliness and organization, preparing trucks for assignment, and assisting the maintenance team with various tasks. The role is crucial for maintaining operational efficiency and ensuring that trucks are ready for drivers and dispatch.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly cleans all interior and exterior areas of company truck cabs and trailers to prepare for assignment.
• Details specific areas of the truck as requested by the supervisor.
• Monitors time to ensure trucks are ready to meet driver and dispatch needs.
• Disposes of all perishables and boxes up drivers' personal belongings.
• Inventories all personal belongings.
• Cleans shop area, which may include trash pickup, sweeping, and other building maintenance tasks.
• Moves trucks in/out of shop; operates other company vehicles.
• Assists shop personnel by picking up/delivering parts, stocking parts, recording inventory.

Requirements

• Experience in vehicle detailing is preferred but not required; training available for motivated candidates.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure vehicles are cleaned thoroughly.
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
• General knowledge of custodial practices for maintaining cleanliness in the workplace.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
