About the position

We are seeking an experienced Trust and Estates Paralegal to join a long-standing firm in Bethesda, known for its widely respected lawyers. This position involves working closely with attorneys and clients on complex estate and trust administration matters across Maryland, DC, and Virginia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in trust and estate law, with a focus on providing exceptional support to our legal team and clients. The role requires a proactive approach to managing case files, preparing necessary documentation, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. The Trust and Estates Paralegal will play a crucial role in the administration of estates and trusts, contributing to the overall success of our legal practice. In this position, you will be responsible for preparing probate filings, including petitions for probate, inventories, and tax returns. You will also handle trust administration duties, which encompass managing expenses, distributions, and filing returns. Strong organizational and writing skills are essential, as you will be required to draft various legal documents and communicate effectively with clients and attorneys. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a trust and estate paralegal is required, along with at least 2 years of college education and a Paralegal Certificate. Responsibilities
