The firm is seeking an experienced Estate and Trust Administration Paralegal to join their team in Baltimore. This position is integral to the firm's operations, as the paralegal will work closely with attorneys and clients on complex estate and trust administration matters. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of estate and trust law, as well as the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining a high level of attention to detail. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and attorneys alike. The paralegal will be responsible for maintaining estate administration files, obtaining Estate Tax ID Numbers, and preparing both Federal and State tax returns. Additionally, the position involves client meetings and ongoing communication to ensure that all parties are informed and engaged throughout the estate administration process. The paralegal will also be tasked with maintaining and reconciling estate checking account ledgers, preparing receipts and releases, and drafting fiduciary closing documents.
