About the position

The position at U.S. Bank involves working within the Global Corporate Trust Services division, specifically focusing on Collateralized Debt Obligations (CDOs) and Global Structured Finance (GSF). The role is centered around providing services related to structured finance vehicles, including trust reporting, compliance testing, and coordination with various stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and payment processing. The position requires a strong understanding of financial instruments and the ability to interpret complex deal documents.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret trust indentures regarding reporting requirements.
  • Create technical report specifications from indenture language.
  • Set up payment calculations in various in-house systems.
  • Receive, map, and reconcile periodic collateral data.
  • Make tax elections, file for EINs, and track residual holder transfers as required.
  • Perform portfolio compliance tests on structured fixed income deals.
  • Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual payment and/or tax reports.
  • Coordinate with operations teams to ensure correct payments are received and made.
  • Perform quality control review of reports, ensuring timeliness and accuracy standards.
  • Interact frequently with asset managers, investors, auditors, and rating agencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Five to six years of relevant work experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Thorough understanding of syndicated bank loans, fixed income securities, securitization, trading, or mutual funds.
  • Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and interpret data.
  • Effective interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet established deadlines in a dynamic working environment with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient computer navigation skills using various software packages including Microsoft Office applications.
