About the position

The position at U.S. Bank involves working within the Global Corporate Trust Services division, focusing on structured finance vehicles that issue debt and equity liabilities. The role requires interpreting trust indentures, creating technical report specifications, and ensuring accurate reporting and compliance for various financial transactions. The successful candidate will engage with asset managers, investors, auditors, and rating agencies to facilitate trust reporting and payment processes.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret trust indentures regarding reporting requirements.
• Create technical report specifications from indenture language.
• Set up payment calculations in various in-house systems.
• Receive, map, and reconcile periodic collateral data.
• Make tax elections, file for EINs, and track residual holder transfers as required.
• Perform portfolio compliance tests on structured fixed income deals.
• Compile monthly, quarterly, and annual payment and/or tax reports.
• Coordinate with operations teams to ensure correct payments are received and made.
• Perform quality control review of reports, ensuring timeliness and accuracy.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business, finance, economics, accounting or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Five to six years of relevant work experience.

Nice-to-haves

• Thorough understanding of syndicated bank loans, fixed income securities, securitization, trading or mutual funds.
• Ability to identify and resolve exceptions and interpret data.
• Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform multiple tasks and meet established deadlines in a dynamic working environment with minimal supervision.
• Proficient computer navigation skills using a variety of software packages including Microsoft Office applications.
