About the position

The Columbus office is currently seeking a full-time Paralegal to join our Trusts and Estates practice. This role is pivotal in supporting the administration of estates and trusts, focusing on the financial, accounting, and tax aspects of these processes. The successful candidate will engage in various tasks that include the preparation of probate forms, title transfer documents such as deeds and certificates of transfer, and managing banking and financial analysis. Additionally, the role involves reviewing investment statements, preparing accounts, and handling estate and gift tax returns. The Trusts and Estates Paralegal will work closely with clients, ensuring that their needs are met with professionalism and efficiency. This position requires a strong understanding of probate processes and filings, as well as the ability to juggle multiple client matters simultaneously. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written, and will be comfortable interacting with clients and their other service providers, such as accountants and bankers. A familiarity with estate and trust accounting software, as well as standard tax return preparation, is essential for success in this role. Responsibilities

  • Prepare probate forms and title transfer documents (deeds, certificates of transfer, etc.)
  • Manage banking and financial analysis related to estates and trusts

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree and/or Paralegal Certificate preferred
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
