Apex Systems is seeking a Junior Oracle Database Administrator (DBA) to support a Federal client in the Alexandria, VA area. This position is fully onsite and is structured as a 6-month contract-to-hire role, requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration and must possess a TS or TS/SCI clearance, with the latter being preferred. The role involves working closely with a small team to support various applications across multiple networks, contributing to the mission's success. As a Junior Oracle DBA, you will be responsible for managing Oracle database installations on both Windows and Linux systems. Your duties will include monitoring and restoring Oracle backups, applying patches, and ensuring the overall health and performance of the databases. You will collaborate with your team to address challenges throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and support data usage across different environments. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and soft skills to effectively communicate and work with team members to achieve project goals.
