About the position

The TSDF Facility Manager is responsible for overseeing the inventory of supplies and equipment for the facility, ensuring compliance with DOT and OSHA requirements, and managing the overall operations of the facility. This role requires a professional demeanor at all times, projecting a positive image of Miller Environmental to both employees and clients. The Facility Manager will independently manage the maintenance of the facility and all associated processing and handling equipment, ensuring that all equipment and inventory are optimal for daily operations. This includes managing the production of staff, producing timely documentation for internal costs related to maintenance and other projects, and assisting the VP and other team members in operational projects as needed. Regular team meetings will be held to ensure effective communication and project management within the facility. The Facility Manager will also be available for response project management to accept appropriate waste streams as they are generated and will participate in various projects and events throughout the organization. Additionally, the role involves P&L management, requiring the ability to communicate any deviations from the budget to the VP and participate in planning to improve costs and enhance the P&L.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all permits and regulatory agencies.
  • Independently manage maintenance of the facility and all associated processing and handling equipment.
  • Work with staff to ensure all equipment and inventory are optimal for daily operations.
  • Manage production of staff.
  • Produce timely documentation for internal costs for Maintenance and other projects.
  • Assist VP and others in operational projects as needed.
  • Hold regular team meetings.
  • Be available for response project management in the facility to accept appropriate waste streams as they are generated.
  • Participate in projects and events throughout the organization.
  • Manage P&L and communicate any deviations from the budget to the VP.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED; B.S. preferred.
  • Five or more years of progressive project management and facility management experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with time-sensitive deadlines.
  • Strong mechanical background.
  • Ability to negotiate and complete projects within budget.
  • Strong leadership abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Valid unrestricted driver's license.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in maintenance (1 year preferred).
  • Ability to relocate to Newburgh, NY before starting work.
