About the position

The Tugger position is a full-time role focused on the loading and unloading of windows and doors at the Silver Line facility. The role requires adherence to quality and safety standards while efficiently managing the staging and loading areas of the shipping department. The position operates during the 3rd shift, from 7:30 PM to 4:00 AM, Sunday through Thursday, and involves physical labor, including the use of powered industrial trucks and tuggers.

Responsibilities

  • Hand load windows and doors onto trailers according to manifest and quality standards.
  • Unload windows and doors and stage them in correct locations on the dock.
  • Load or unload trailers at a rate of 150 cube/hour or greater.
  • Utilize tugger to pull windows and doors from production lines and stage them properly.
  • Scan windows to correct staging lane upon delivery.
  • Train new hires on loading/unloading procedures and safety standards.
  • Present T2 board metrics and issues to the team.
  • Troubleshoot issues on the dock, such as missing materials or quality concerns.
  • Act as backup to dock lead, completing load audits and updating manifests.
  • Participate in safety culture and complete BBS audits.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Minimum of one year of related work experience in manufacturing or a comparable environment.
  • Minimum of one year of forklift operation experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds continuously above shoulder height and below the waist.
