About The Position

The Wind Turbine Technician I is an entry-level position responsible for the safe operations and maintenance of wind turbines and Balance of Plant (BOP) at Corpus Christi. Under the guidance of Lead turbine technicians, the technician will perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and support for various operational tasks to improve uptime and production.

Requirements

• High School Diploma and about 1 year of relevant work experience.
• Ability to read, interpret and understand drawings and schematics.
• Ability to hear and use close range radios.
• Excellent computer skills, with solid understanding of Microsoft Windows programs.
• Ability to demonstrate basic industrial safety practices/protocols including LOTO.
• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain a Passport.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with wind turbines or related technologies.
• Completion of training courses such as first aid, CPR and AED, climb and rescue training, and confined space training.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to Enbridge safety standards, procedures, and safety culture.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with safe work practices, including electrical safety, at heights, control of hazardous energy, confined space, and cargo management.
• Support the completion of scheduled/standard work such as regular maintenance.
• Support troubleshooting of turbines and completion of asset integrity inspections and unscheduled work.
• Support the electrical switching of turbines.
• Apply SCADA to support required work.
• Follow basic structured problem-solving processes to complete basic troubleshooting and diagnostic tasks.
• Perform data entry in the Maintenance Management System (Maximo).
