About the position

The Turf Club Host/Hostess is responsible for ensuring outstanding customer service in The Turf Club at Sunland Park Racetrack & Casino. This seasonal position focuses on delivering high-quality service, maintaining professionalism, and assisting guests in a courteous manner while interacting with patrons to ensure satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Delivers, maintains, and exceeds service quality standards as established by The Company.
• Demonstrates and models courtesy, commitment, respect, and professionalism at all times.
• Consistently provides attention to guests in a pleasant and courteous manner.
• Assists restaurant host/hostess during peak periods.
• Demonstrates thorough knowledge of services, products, promotions, and food and beverage menus.
• Interacts with patrons to monitor the level of service satisfaction and delivers complaints for immediate correction to the corresponding supervisor.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Excellent communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Ability to anticipate customer needs and be proactive.
• Service industry experience or face-to-face customer service experience.
• Bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.
• Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation in order to obtain a racing license.
