About the position

The position involves actively supporting the Company's commitment to safety and its core values, while adhering to the Company's Code of Business Conduct and Ethics. The role includes developing and maintaining schedules for a portion of an outage, which involves collecting actual and quantities installed per schedules, assessing progress data supplied by others, and conducting visual inspections. The individual will support supervision through the preparation and maintenance of forecasts and schedules, and may draft construction network diagrams for specific areas. Additionally, the role requires developing detailed engineering and construction schedules in collaboration with construction management, assembling data from various sources including A/E, client engineering, and other contractors. The individual will supervise the updating of construction forecasts to reflect the most current plans and requirements, interface with other construction departments to provide scheduling data, identify safety hazards, and perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision. The position may also require working from drawings and blueprints.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain schedules for a portion of an outage, including collecting actual and quantities installed per schedules, assessing progress data, and conducting visual inspections.
  • Support supervision through preparation and maintenance of forecasts and schedules, and may draft construction network diagrams for specific areas.
  • Develop detailed engineering and construction schedules with construction management, assembling data from various sources.
  • Supervise updating of construction forecasts to reflect current plans and requirements.
  • Interface with other construction departments to provide scheduling data for subcontract change requests, bid comparisons, and new work item estimates.
  • Identify safety hazards and take corrective action to eliminate or minimize them.
  • Perform all other job-related duties as requested by supervision.
  • May be required to work from drawings and blueprints.

Requirements

  • Minimum of four (4) years or more in refinery maintenance experience.
  • Good understanding of boilermaker type work and knowledge of basic hand tools.
  • Working knowledge of resource monitoring and control techniques such as CPM networks scheduling and computer scheduling techniques.
  • Understanding of process systems, structures, and construction technology required.
  • Complete Matrix Service Safety training, Process Safety Management training, and Client/Site specific training.
  • Must obtain and maintain an active status within the appropriate drug testing program.
  • MUST have TWIC card.
  • Verification of 8,000 craft related hours.
  • Graduated journeyperson status preferred.
