About the position

The Tutor/Mentor/Teacher Assistant role involves providing homework assistance and individualized instruction to students in various subjects. The position is part-time and temporary, focusing on creating a positive learning environment and adapting teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.

Responsibilities

• Provide homework assistance to a group of 3-5 students in all school subjects.
• Provide individualized instruction to students in various subjects, including math, reading, writing, and science.
• Develop and implement lesson plans based on students' needs and learning goals.
• Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly.
• Utilize effective classroom management techniques to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
• Communicate regularly with the manager to provide updates on student progress.
• Collaborate with other educators or tutors to support students with learning challenges.
• Use a variety of teaching strategies and resources to engage students and promote active learning.

Requirements

• Previous experience working with children or students in an educational setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices is beneficial but not required.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of individual students.
• Excellent organizational skills for lesson planning and record keeping.

Nice-to-haves
