About the position
The position involves providing in-person tutoring services for students from Pre-K through college, focusing on various subjects including English, Math, Science, History, and foreign languages. Tutors will work one-on-one with students, helping them develop study skills, organizational skills, and confidence in their academic abilities. The role is part-time with flexible hours, primarily during weekdays and weekends as needed.
Responsibilities
- Work with students on a one-on-one basis, usually at clients' homes.
- Come prepared to help with the subject/topic at hand, with details provided ahead of the session.
- Encourage good work habits and accountability in students.
- Provide students with the confidence and tools to be successful independent of tutoring.
Requirements
- Master's Degree strongly preferred.
- Tutoring experience is a must.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with AP Prep and SAT/ACT Prep.
- Experience in college application essays and advisement.
- Experience in resume and LinkedIn building; mock interviews.
Benefits
- Pay based on education and experience, ranging from $70 to $95 per hour.
