About the position

FanDuel is seeking an experienced HR professional to join the People team and help shape the next phase of FanDuel's hyper growth! The ideal candidate will have a strong HR technical skill base and business acumen, with an objective and proactive approach to ensure balanced decisions that meet the needs of both the business and employees. This role requires the ability to immerse oneself in the unique needs of the workforce, developing strong business relationships and providing excellent HR guidance that aligns with FanDuel's Culture and Principles. In this position, you will drive and execute core HR processes, leverage our HRIS system for data-driven insights, and collaborate seamlessly with other Centers of Excellence on the People team. You will play a key role in driving and supporting people initiatives for assigned departments within the TV/Production organization, acting as the lead HR representative for the LA office and working independently. Your responsibilities will include understanding the intricacies of the TV/Production employee population, partnering with assigned people leaders, and serving as a strategic advisor on all People matters. You will proactively collaborate with our People Team COEs to provide first-class strategic business solutions, coach and support the development of people leaders, drive headcount planning, execute organizational development initiatives, and support change management efforts. Additionally, you will own talent development and advancement within your client group, support and resolve employee relations cases, and prepare and present relevant data analytics to support business strategy. This role requires a strong commitment to promoting a positive work environment and supporting culture and DE&I initiatives. You will also be responsible for delivering annual core HR processes, identifying and refining HR policies, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations. Overall, this position is crucial for contributing to the overall success of FanDuel by taking broad initiative and serving as a trusted advisor and data-driven problem solver throughout various operational business cycles.

Responsibilities

  • Understand the intricacies of the TV/Production employee population to successfully support the growth and demands of this fast-paced organization.
  • Work autonomously as the HR site leader for the LA office.
  • Partner with assigned people leaders and their respective teams and serve as strategic advisor on all People matters.
  • Proactively collaborate with our People Team COEs to provide first-class strategic business solutions.
  • Coach and support the development of people leaders through employee life cycle process execution.
  • Drive headcount planning in partnership with assigned leaders and ensure adherence to process for needed approvals.
  • Execute organizational development and reorganization initiatives with a high level of autonomy.
  • Support change management efforts and collaborate with other People team members to communicate organizational changes.
  • Own talent development and advancement within your client group with a high level of autonomy.
  • Support and resolve employee relations cases of increased complexity and recommend appropriate actions in partnership with key stakeholders.
  • Prepare and present relevant data analytics and dashboards to support business strategy.
  • Support culture and DE&I initiatives to promote a positive work environment.
  • Deliver annual core HR processes for assigned client groups including performance management processes, goal setting, and compensation planning.
  • Identify and initiate development and refinement of HR policies, processes, and procedures.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years' experience in a Human Resources related field.
  • College degree in related business field, preferred.
  • Experience working with employees in the TV/Production space, including understanding and navigating On-Air Talent.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment and think clearly under pressure.
  • Strong competency within the HR function: succession planning, org design, coaching, recognition programs, talent management, communications, compensation, and change management.
  • Methodical & Strategic approach to problem solving.
  • Demonstrated ability to leverage Data & Insights to influence decision making.
  • Change Management Experience.
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills.
  • Stakeholder management skills - skilled at setting expectations and delivering tough messages.
  • Strong Commercial/Business acumen - How to translate business strategy into HR related programs and initiatives.
