About the position

The TWEL Business Operations Analyst at The Ohio State University is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and scheduling of fleet field vehicles, as well as preparing budgets, tracking expenditures, and assisting with purchase requisitions and travel arrangements. This role also involves managing a summer internship program, performing communications with cooperating agencies, and providing logistical support for research, teaching, and outreach programs related to Forestry, Fisheries, and Wildlife.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and schedule use of fleet field vehicles.
• Prepare budgets and track expenditures.
• Assist with purchase requisitions and travel arrangements.
• Prepare and compile reports.
• Manage a summer internship program.
• Perform routine communications with cooperating agencies.
• Provide logistical support for research, teaching, and outreach programs.

Requirements

• B.S. in biology, ecology, natural resources or related field or equivalent experience.
• 2 years of relevant experience.
• Proficient with MS-Excel and MS-Word.
• Knowledge and experience with operation and maintenance of fleet vehicles.
• Understanding of governmental agency organization and operations.
• Knowledge of the research, outreach, and education missions of a Land-grant University.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills.
• Self-motivated with a creative approach to professional development.
