About the position

The Twinning Project Coach at D.C. United is responsible for supporting the delivery and development of the Twinning Project, a community program aimed at enhancing the professional development of incarcerated individuals through soccer. This role involves collaboration with various stakeholders, including the D.C. United team and the DC Department of Corrections, to ensure the successful execution of the program and its activities. The coach will also adapt the curriculum to align with D.C. United's values and support the measurement of program outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Sr. Director of Community Relations and Twinning Project Program Specialist to support the strategic plan for the Twinning program.
• Represent D.C. United with impact partners related to the Twinning Project for planning and execution.
• Ensure flawless execution of all launches, events, soccer activities, and ongoing programming.
• Coach in the DC Department of Corrections Central Detention Facility and/or Central Treatment Facility.
• Adapt and evolve the curriculum to align with D.C. United values.
• Share best practices with other Twinning Project coaches on safety and teaching soccer.
• Support outcome measurements for the Twinning Project program, including research and data collection.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or an additional two years of professional experience in lieu of degree required.
• A minimum of 5 years of professional, relevant experience in coaching and/or group management.
• Experience with project management, managing daily activities, and delivering results in a cross-functional environment.
• Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination prior to start date.
