About the position

The Restaurant General Manager at Applegreen USA is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of a Burger King location in South Carolina. This role focuses on profitability, guest satisfaction, team management, and operational excellence. The GM will lead a team, manage financial outcomes, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations while enhancing the guest experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the daily operations of a single restaurant.
  • Accountable for the restaurant profit and loss (P&L) and manage towards desired financial outcomes.
  • Drive sales through proactive guest service, people development, and operations management.
  • Motivate and direct team members to exceed guest expectations with accurate, friendly, and fast service.
  • Develop action plans to address and resolve guest issues or concerns.
  • Engage with the community to execute local marketing initiatives.
  • Inspire the restaurant team through recognition programs.
  • Provide coaching and feedback to direct reports to enhance team capabilities.
  • Manage restaurant labor and optimize staffing and scheduling.
  • Enforce compliance with government regulations, employment laws, and BKC policies.

Requirements

  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Strong understanding of P&L management and drivers of restaurant profitability.
  • Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and understanding of guest service principles.
  • Available to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work long and/or irregular shifts as needed.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to interact positively and professionally with guests and co-workers.
  • Willingness to learn all areas of restaurant operations and work multiple stations.
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years of previous quick service restaurant experience, with management experience preferred.
  • Previous supervisory experience required.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Teams, Excel, and Outlook.
