About the position

The Two's Teacher at The Gardner School of Naperville is responsible for creating a safe and nurturing classroom environment for young children. This full-time position involves planning and executing age-appropriate lesson plans, facilitating communication with parents, and ensuring compliance with state licensing requirements. Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a safe and nurturing classroom environment
• Plan and execute age-appropriate weekly lesson plans
• Participate actively with peers through communication, collaboration, and curriculum
• Facilitate regular parent/guardian communication and conferences to discuss orientation, transitions, and developmental goals
• Meet state licensing requirements for education and experience
• Assist lead classroom teacher with planning and implementing curriculum program which reflects observations and goals
• Participate in parent communication
• Develop and maintain a safe, nurturing, and healthy learning environment in which children can grow and learn
• Lift to 60 pounds as in lifting, carrying, and holding infants and children

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Possess a valid driver's license
• Eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship
• CDA or Associates minimum required for Lead Teacher position
• Bachelor's degree (for Lead Teacher position)
• Organizational skills
• Classroom experience
• Leadership skills
