About the position
The Inside Sales/Customer Service Representative at McCarty Equipment is responsible for maintaining customer accounts and ensuring satisfaction through effective communication and problem resolution. This role involves daily interactions with customers and vendors, processing sales orders, and providing tailored solutions to meet client needs in the industrial sector.
Responsibilities
- Sell industrial hose, gasket, and piping products and maintain customer accounts.
- Take orders on the phone and over the internet.
- Enter orders and product quotes into the computer system.
- Emphasize salable features, quote prices and credit terms, and prepare sales orders for orders obtained.
- Estimate delivery dates based on knowledge of production and delivery schedules and inventory.
- Prepare reports of business transactions in the company database.
- Work with account managers to keep account activities up to date.
- Investigate and resolve customer problems with deliveries.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Associates degree or higher is preferred.
- Good working knowledge of engineering principles, solid modeling, welding, and fabrication.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced, high-volume environment utilizing Microsoft Office tools such as Word, Excel, and SolidWorks.
- Knowledge of industrial hose, gasket, and piping.
