About the position
Hiland Dairy's Tyler Division is currently seeking applications for a Class A CDL Driver with Tanker Endorsement to join our dedicated team of Transport Drivers. As a Transport Driver, you will be responsible for maneuvering trailers from the case dock to the load-out dock and into the parking lot. You will drive your truck over established routes to deliver, unload, and account for dairy products at various customer locations and distribution points. This role also involves loading and unloading products at the destination, collecting or picking up empty containers, and managing rejected or unsold merchandise. Additionally, you will be required to maintain fuel levels and monitor temperatures for all trailers on the lot, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. Completing all required paperwork and maintaining proper logs is essential, as is adherence to DOT rules and regulations. You may also be assigned other duties as needed, contributing to the overall success of our operations.
Responsibilities
- Maneuver trailers from case dock to load out dock to parking lot
- Drive truck over established route to deliver, unload and account for products of the dairy industry to customer's place of business and distribution points
- Load and unload product at destination and carry merchandise
- Collect or pickup empty containers or rejected or unsold merchandise
- Maintain fuel and monitor temperatures for all trailers on lot
- Maintain and complete all required paperwork and maintain proper logs
- Follow DOT rules and regulations
- Complete any other duty that may be assigned
Requirements
- Must have Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement
- Must have experience backing and maneuvering 53' trailers in close areas
- Ability to perform heavy lifting of up to 50 pounds and pushing and pulling of up to 1000 pounds
- Ability to pass the D.O.T. physical and drug screen
- High school diploma or GED
