About the position

The Territory Sales Manager at Tyler Union is responsible for expanding the company's market share in Utah and Southern Idaho by managing and growing relationships with distributors, contractors, and municipalities. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, technical support, and product knowledge to meet sales and profitability goals in the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, contractors, and municipalities within the territory.
• Understand and demonstrate the features and benefits of Tyler Union products.
• Conduct distributor training and engineering presentations to improve specification position.
• Coordinate with inside sales, quotations, production, distribution, and engineering departments to achieve sales objectives.
• Inform management of business, product, and competitive trends within the territory.
• Participate in resolving internal problems that impact customers, including quality and delivery issues.
• Analyze sales levels and trends, initiating actions to meet sales objectives.
• Perform miscellaneous sales and service-related duties as directed by management.

Requirements

• Previous outside sales experience with a strong understanding of sales functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or a related discipline preferred; significant industrial sales experience may substitute for a degree.
• Ability for extensive domestic travel as required by projects and responsibilities.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
