About the position
As a U.S. Army Pharmacy Specialist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare team by preparing and issuing prescribed pharmaceuticals and medicines. Your responsibilities will include maintaining pharmacy supplies and records, evaluating orders, verifying dosage calculations, and providing instructions to patients on medication usage. This position is available in part-time, full-time, and contract formats, and requires a commitment to patient care and adherence to pharmacy laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and issue prescribed pharmaceuticals and medicines.
- Maintain pharmacy supplies and records under the supervision of pharmacists and doctors.
- Evaluate orders and verify dosage calculations.
- Provide instructions to patients on how to properly take their medication.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident with a valid Green Card.
- High School Diploma or GED.
