About The Position

The U.S. Census Bureau is seeking Field Representatives to conduct interviews and collect survey or census data within assigned geographic areas. Requirements

• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel within the assigned county.
• Ability to communicate effectively with diverse populations, including bilingual skills for certain positions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews primarily in person (door to door) and may conduct phone interviews when requested to collect survey or census data.
• Communicate with respondents, supervisors, and other persons as appropriate.
• Understand survey materials to explain the purpose of surveys and ask questions as worded on the questionnaire or survey instrument.
• Enter accurate and complete information into a laptop computer or onto survey forms.
• Maintain personal payroll records that reflect hours worked, miles driven, and reimbursements for travel and communications claimed.
• Complete and attend training as necessary in-person or online.
