About the position

The U.S. Census Bureau is seeking Field Representatives in Lafayette County, FL, to conduct interviews for surveys and census data collection. Responsibilities

• Conduct interviews primarily in person (door to door) and may conduct phone interviews as needed.
• Collect survey or census data within an assigned geographic area.
• Communicate effectively with respondents, supervisors, and other relevant parties.
• Understand and explain survey materials to respondents, ensuring accurate data collection.
• Enter accurate and complete information into a laptop computer or onto survey forms.
• Maintain personal payroll records reflecting hours worked, miles driven, and reimbursements for travel and communications.
• Complete necessary training, both in-person and online.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Ability to travel throughout the assigned county of residence.
