About the position
The Private Banker role at J.P. Morgan's U.S. Private Bank is designed for talented individuals who are motivated to provide exceptional client experiences. This position involves advising families on wealth management, including investment strategies, financial planning, and credit solutions. The Private Banker will work collaboratively with a team and utilize institutional resources to meet client needs and achieve their financial goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage and maintain relationships with clients by earning trust and understanding their needs.
- Generate business results and acquire new assets from both existing clients and new client acquisition.
- Advise clients on their overall balance sheet, including asset allocation and investment management.
- Partner with internal specialists to provide interdisciplinary expertise to clients.
- Connect clients across all lines of business of J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
- Ensure proposed solutions fulfill clients' needs through a holistic goals-based planning approach.
- Adhere to all risk and control policies, regulatory guidelines, and security measures.
Requirements
- Six plus years of work experience in Private Banking or Financial Services.
- Bachelor's Degree required.
- Series 7, 66, and Insurance licenses required; unlicensed candidates must obtain licenses within 90 days of start date.
- Proven sales success and strong business acumen.
- Strong community presence with an established network.
- Experience or understanding of investments, wealth planning, credit, and banking concepts.
- Focus on client experience and work tirelessly on behalf of clients.
Nice-to-haves
- MBA, JD, CFA, or CFP preferred.
- Proactive and uses critical thinking to solve problems.
- Dynamic and credible professional with exceptional presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills and a disciplined approach to business.
